Herefordshire

Located right alongside the Welsh border, Herefordshire benefits from both English and Welsh culture and history. The county is home to its main city Hereford, where you'll find the Mappa Mundi at the cathedral, as well as places like Hay on Wye (the UK's town of books), Ross on Wye and Ledbury - where you'll find Eastnor Castle and an international pottery festival. 

The county features two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Wye Valley, the Malvern Hills, tonnes of culture and a host of castles and cathedrals to explore.
