Small Palladian mansion built in 1788 by James Wyatt for James Hereford, of the family that has lived in Mordiford since 1140. Interiors also by Wyatt, the finest being the Music Room (now Drawing Room).
Guided Tours: Obligatory. Parking: Only small coaches. Education/School Visits: Small school groups. No special facilities. Suitability for Dogs: In grounds, on leads.
At the same address there's aslo Old Sufton. A 16th century manor house which was altered and remodelled in the 18th and 19th centuries and again in this century. The original home of the Hereford family (see Sufton Court) who have held the manor since the 12th century.
