Summer of Fun at Elizabeth Gaskell's House

About

Summer is here again so bring everyone along for family fun over the school holidays.

The kids can make their own creative craft in the Servants Hall plus there is dressing-up, colouring, hands-on activities and the popular Cranford the Cat trail around this magnificent historic house. Visit the beautiful garden and, if the weather is good, try some Bridgeton-inspired child-friendly games like croquet and boules on the lawn.

Plus explore the summer flowers and QR code trail in the garden. You are welcome to bring a picnic and can find fun facts, play games, tell jokes and find out ways you can help to support wildlife and reduce your carbon emission at home. Family craft activities are included in admission and this summer they have a theme of Games and Toys. There's a new craft every two weeks so the kids can try their hand at mask-making, optical illusions or puppets.

Your ticket includes 12 month entry and kids go free with a paying adult so banish boredom and visit as many times as you like!

Elizabeth Gaskell's House is open Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 11am - 4.30pm (Last entry is 3pm).
